Pass the marshmallows, please.

We are doing some renovations in our church building – a renovated kitchen and a new boiler system – so for the past several weeks, there have been construction workers all over the place. It’s been noisy and dusty, to say the least. One of the projects involved cutting some pipe in the room directly underneath my office, which made my desk vibrate. These are good problems to have, of course; the kitchen will be well-used, the boiler will help us save money on energy costs, and the enthusiasm in the congregation is priceless.

Today, they are doing something (I don’t know what; I’m doing my best to stay out of it) that makes the whole building smell smoky. We’ve investigated, and it seems that nothing is actually on fire, but boy, am I hungry for a s’more.
